A Bluetooth LE-MIDI-based glove controller for musical performance
The BLE-MIDI Glove Controller is a wearable musical interface that combines Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology with MIDI communication protocols. This project represents a simple approach to gestural music control, allowing performers to manipulate sound through natural hand movements and finger gestures.
Built using modern BluetoothLE-MIDI technology, the glove controller offers freedom of movement while maintaining reliable, low-latency communication with digital audio workstations and synthesizers. The device incorporates an inertial movement unit (IMU) sensors to capture hand motion and middle finger positioning, translating these into expressive musical parameters.
This glove has been used in live performances by Spacebarman.
